Quantity: 4 flexible silicone rubber molds
Measurement: 12 mm to 18 mm flat (smaller when turned into bead caps, see below)
I make these silicone molds from vintage buttons. Great for creating cabochons, buttons or bead caps in your favorite colors. You can use silver metal clay, polymer clay, paper clay.
Creating with these molds is easy, no mold release is required.
Creating bead caps is easy with polymer clay. Push in polymer clay, put into freezer for a minute as this will harden the clay somewhat and prevent distortion when removing from the mold. Carefully shape the cast/molded piece of polymer clay over a glass marble (or large, smooth glass/metal bead) to create a curved cap. Cure on the glass marble at manufacturers recommended time and temperature.
Please allow 1 to 2 days for the creation of your piece.
Photos show examples of molded pieces into which holes have been drilled after casting. Another photo serves as inspiration with finished bead caps.
Currently only my Tutorials are available for download as I rearrange my shop. My molds, silkscreens and other items will become available again mid-May. Sorry for the inconvenience.
