The Illusion of the web like design has movement. There is another Mandala 2 that is an opposite design of this one where the mesh inside the shapes is closed and paint will apply through the lines only ...opposite of this one here where the paint is applied through the open mesh...any of the pink is a paint 'blocker'. Either screen is great and will give you a slightly different effect. You could use both if you want to apply 2 different paints.
Design area measures about 3.5 x 3.5 inches plus border.
The polymer clay example is made from polymer clay and pan pastels.
You can use this type of screen on paper, fabric, polymer clay with mica powders, chalks, soft artist pastels and acrylic paints.
When using paints, please use Jacquard, Jones Tones or Golden Acrylic Paints or similar paints which are fine particle paints. Heavy or medium body acrylics are fine. Liquid or watery paints are not recommended.
NOTE: stencil is not an open design stencil for tracing, but a mesh. It's a silkscreen.
For use on Polymer clay, Fabric, paper and can be used on smooth wood, glass, metal etc. Very low relief and not a deep impression like a rubber stamp mat, but will leave a slight texture when used without paint.
After using paints, you should gently wash the stencil in warm water as soon as possible as dry paints are hard if not impossible to remove. Let stencil dry before using again. Doing so will allow you to use the stencil over and over.
Included is a simple instruction sheet mailed along with the silkscreen
