The design area of this silkscreen measures almost 4x5" plus border or 3 7/8" x 4 7/8" with an Owl Pattern
THIS IS A SILKSCREEN, NOT AN OPEN CUT OUT STENCIL FOR TRACING, BUT A MESH. THE MESH MATERIAL HAS AN IMAGE EMBEDDED ALLOWING ONE TO PUSH PAINT THROUGH IT ONTO A SURFACE TO RECREATE THE IMAGE.
I develop these silkscreens from my own art, geometric or design piece work. Watermark won't be on actual screen. The screen can be used to add a light / fine texture to your polymer clay, or use it with paint and screen/squeegee the design onto various flat surfaced materials such as paper, fabric, metal, wood, polymer clay. It can be run through the pasta machine with polymer clay or use an acrylic hand roller. My "low relief stone rubbing" I have listed in my shop works with silkscreens. The "Friendship hand" is another but you can also use rubber stamps with that tutorial as it demos a 'faux ceramic' technique.
There are a variety of paints you can use with silkscreens, any medium to thick acrylic paint will work, the ones I tend to use are Jacquard, Jones Tones or Golden Acrylic Paints which have fine particles in the paint.
Screens are made to order, so please allow 2 - 3 days for me to get them made.
After using paints, you should gently wash the screen in warm water as soon as possible as dry paints are hard if not impossible to remove. Let screen dry before using again. Following this direction will extend the life of the screen over many uses.
NOTE: Included is a simple printout of instructions. ArmorAll or Meguiar's (Automotive vinyl protector) is helpful as a release agent for use on polymer clay, or to condition the screen to make it last longer for such use, but is NOT necessary. Water can be used in lieu.
My downloads are available anytime, but I'm on vacation and wishing you a safe and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! See you in the New Year with my Molds, Silkscreens, Cabochons etc...or see you on Facebook :)
